Dr. Stanley Fuller was born in Idaho and raised in Alaska, including 2 years in Akiachak and 7 years in Barrow (now Utqiagvik). He graduated from Lathrop High School in Fairbanks, Alaska.  After high school Dr. Fuller served a 2 year volunteer mission for his church in England. Upon his return, he completed his undergraduate training at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, during which time he also did volunteer research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City. 

He attended medical school at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he received numerous merit based scholarships and served in several leadership and service capacities, including being elected by his classmates to serve as class Treasurer for 3 years in a row. 

Following medical school Dr. Fuller was selected to be an ocular pathology and research fellow under the internationally renowned Dr. Nick Mamalis at the Moran Eye Center with the University of Utah.  As a fellow he was part of the team researching the newest technologies in intraocular lenses that are implanted in the eye as part of cataract surgery. Dr. Fuller went on to complete his internship year in Internal Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.  He stayed at Geisinger for his ophthalmology residency training. 

During his final year of training he served as Chief Resident and participated as a volunteer surgeon in programs providing charitable cataract surgery both locally and internationally.  Following residency training, Dr. Fuller returned to Fairbanks, Alaska, where he has practiced since 2015.  He started his own clinic, Interior Eye Center LLC in 2022 and continues to provide quality care to residents of the interior of Alaska and beyond.  

Dr. Fuller strives to provide excellent and compassionate ophthalmologic care. His scope of practice is comprehensive and includes medical and surgical treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, pediatric eye care and strabismus, and minor oculoplastic procedures. When not at work, Dr. Fuller enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Dr. Fuller also tries to stay active by running, playing basketball and disc golf.
